I just read out there in cyberspace something about resolutions to lose weight or diet are exercises in self loathing. I'll remind my doctor of that when he tells me how great it is for my health that I have now lost 30 kilos since the birth of my son. Dont get me wrong, I think I am all kinds of fab and I thought so when I was 40 kilos heavier ( a few years back) but I feel SO much friggin better now.
I actually commented on the said blog. I don't agree with a lot of the blog but that is fine, we don't all agree and I still read her blog and find it extremely interesting. I am not bagging anyone here but just stating how I disagree with her thoughts- which is fine!

Well anyway- happy new year. This morning Geoff Billy + I went out for breakfast in cheltenham and had awesome poached eggs and wholemeal toast and fabo coffee. I am about to go and hang out with Nat and Billy for a bit.

Merry Christmas and all that

Hope everyone had a magical Christmas!
We sure did!
Our first christmas with the boy, hilarious times!

Christmas eve was first spent at my work where I proceeded to CUT my finger REALLY bad then ended up at the gp getting butterfly stitches and a bloody tetnus JEEZ! Butterfly stitches are for GIRLS like me who can't hack someone sewing their flesh. Gross.
Then we went to my cousin and partner in crimes Natalies for our family christmas. Billy slept for ages then finally woke for pressie time. Clever baby. Christmas Day was spent the three of us, me billy and Geoff opening presents and eating lol. Then going to Mum and Dads for Turkey yum yum yum. Good times!
I have now finished my casual work so I am footloose, fancifree and broke LOL but happy. I want to think of a whole heap of FUN things to do over the next 4-6 weeks!

Spend a LOT of time in the sun with my bub.
Walk to mums for breakfast with Billy
Have lotsa coffee with Mumma and Billy
Go to St Kilda for the day with Mumma and Billy. Coffee cake and walks on the beach
Thrift shopping
A day trip with Geoff and Billy somewhere I have never been
A day of sensual spring (summer) cleaning
going to the movies with Mumma
sleepover with Nat
Going for my license again SIGH
Reading lots of books! Maybe joining a library! LOL
a hilarious drunk night out

oohh good times ahead!!

My christmas in pics....

City Chic, I am breaking up with you

I am not posting a pic. tonight i want to.. talk. lol
scared?

I just wanted to say how great it feels to start to fit into straight lines in clothes. It started a month or two back when I fit into a size 16 dress from Brown Sugar. yay. Then an xxl jayjays. Now Fusion by target xl which is a 16 I fink. Its a start you know? Because I am WELL AWARE the world is ALLL about FA right now.. umm fat acceptance. But I am not all about it within myself. I'm all about it in the aspect of NO ONE should be made to feel interior because of their weight and really, I was rocking FA when no one knew what the words F and A stood for.. apart from maybe fat arse. But nope, I am not happy within myself being fat. I have lost coming up to 30 kg's since May this year and by May next year I hope to have that above 50 kilos and to be close to my end goal weight.
OK, that aside, it will be great to NEVER have to worry about fatty clothes EVER again. I tell you right now, if CITY SHIT do not have a decent boxing day sale occuring then they will have lost me forever. They are dangling dangerously at the mo as is.
So I am doing some work at a fairly prominent melbourne shopping mall at the mo and EVERYWHERE has sales! Its like i dont even have to wait till boxing day. Crossroads, 50% off storewide. Autograph, the same. Target and kmart have sales galore. ALL except silly old city shit. I walk in every 2-3 days and walk out again. And the store is EMPTY. do they think we are fat AND stupid? Look, their clothes are great! NOT the same as straight line stores, I still find 80% of City Chic's clothes tacky but some stuff is awesome- and overpriced to the max. And some of their trends are severely dubious. The tribal, all good. The miami heat?? errmm not to good. I wasn't aware Ed Hardy knockoffs were in.
This link shows a dress i adore.
http://www.citychic.com.au/DENIM-ROSE-DRESS-.aspx?p15729

I bought a similar dress from Torrid for like $20 aus dollars.
There are dime a dozen dresses like this in Glassons (I fit their size 16 dresses, just- AND i'm a LARGE in city chic UMM GO FIGURE) Cotton On etc.

City Chic wake up. You are not designer. You are not good quality. You are a fat girls valley girl so start flashing me $24.95 price tags goddamn it. Get rid of the sequined shit and bring me some skinny cargos, some tribal print pants. Get rid of the outdated strapless fat girls best friend NOT dresses. Your shoes look like tranny shoes. And i am NOT going to be nice to you in the hope that u will send me overpriced, thread hanging SHIT to review. Good day.

Tribal

black tank- best + less
drapey cardi- kmart
tribal shorts- savers
sandsals- target

Worst photo in the world (taken naturally by my mother) but you get the gist. I had my hair done today. I had some ash brown foils done as well as my blonde and so right now it just looks very ashy until my normal toner fades a little. I also had my hair chopped into a longish bob to even out my hair so my front catches up to my back :)
These shorts are comfy as. I love them. I have seen heaps of girls wearing tribalish shorts out and about but I was a little feared to wear these but once I had them on, no fear at all. So comfy!
Back at work tomorrow. vomit.

its Bon Jovi Bitch

what i wore to bon jovi;
black floral dress- kmart
tights- big w
doc martens- not sure where from.. have had them since i was 14

I am a massive bon jovi fan. When I was growing up, (I am, the youngest of 6, they are all older than me by like 9 years, 11 years, 13 and 14 years) all my bros and sisters listened to Bon Jovi and I fell in love. The first album I bought myself was Keep the Faith in the early 90's. Love love loved it. Used to listen to it on my walkman (I taped it from the cd lol) in school all the time. Then I slowly bought Slippery when wet... new Jersey (probably the best album i reckon)... Bon Jovi and 7800 degrees farenheit. When These Days came out, I had it on pre order, LOVED it. Crossroads, tick. JBJ solo young guns, tick. I had a life size JBJ poster on the back of my wall and bought every magazine with them featured. I saw them in concert when I was 14 and yelled out I LOVE U JON when it was quiet and he CHUCKLED!!!!!!!!!! LOL.

I must admit, their newer stuff I can take or leave. Its OK, but very middle of the road. I reckon my top 5 favourite tunes would be... wanted dead or alive, in these arms, runaway, miracle, i'll be there for you.. maybe? its too hard to pick. Anyway, I saw them last night!!! In concert, once again!! Awesome time!!!

Two Years

Today was our two year anniversary.
This time last year I was pregnant with our son. This time the year before I was walking down the isle. This year I have a wonderful husband and a wonderful little baby boy. Life is pretty sweet.

Went into the city today with mum + billy to see santaland. Note to Myer Melbourne; some aircon at santaland would not go astray. As would toilets closeby. And maybe two santas, considering we lined up for an hour. Other than that, ok. Note to melbourne Central shopping centre, some lifts would be helpful to those of us umm with prams or wheelchairs. Douchebags.
This is what I wore today, dress is from brown sugar, vest from jayjays (itsNEW!) sandals are old targets. Excuse this pic as it was the end of the day and my hair and makeup was sadly awol.

This is what I wore to go to the Pavillion with Geoff for anniversary dinner while omi + poppy minded Billy. Vest is again from jayjays. Je l'adore vest. White cotton floral cami is from ages ago. Bag is from some randon surf shop, its a bigwripcurl bag. Skinny black jeans also big w a million trillion years ago. Mayybeee I should wear a white bra next time, hehe.

Hi from Billy!

coral doll

I bought this dress for $7 a few weeks ago at savers.. been wanting to wear it but between work and baby and not so warm weather, it has been hard. But today mum billy and I went shopping and it was a sunny 30 degrees so I wore it! I really like it, love the coral colour, love the style. I have my idea on a few things I want to try out at the moment, more shorts and more short stuff like dresses, skirts etc. I am thinking of bringing back my docs from 1994 and I am lemming a brown leather backpack.. soo 90's. I also picked up the more FABO soft soft denim chambrey tie up vest from jayjays today.. so awesome!
